Testing Center

Our testing proctors are here to assist you throughout your college experience. Many tests and testing options are now available in an on-campus or remote format, including the common college credit placement test known as ACCUPLACER.

Our testing center adheres to the Professional Standards and Guidelines set forth by the National College Testing Association.

Please schedule your tests at least 48 hours in advance of your requested testing date. Please schedule by calling 307-681-6226.

The following tests are offered to college students and community members:

  • Proctored tests for non-Gillette College students: $20/test
  • ACCUPLACER (placement tests): $10/test
  • CLEP (College-level Examination Program): $20/test
  • HESI A2 (Entrance exam for the nursing program): $75/test
  • HESI LPN-ADN (Entrance exam for 2nd year nursing program):  $75/test
  • HiSET (High School Equivalency): $5/test
  • ASE (Automotive Service Excellence Testing)
  • PearsonVue (Industry tests, which include licensing and certification for insurance, electrician, plumber, roofing, general contractor, real estate, EMT, GED, etc.)
  • Praxis (certification testing for individuals entering the teaching profession)
  • Prov (Wyoming Cosmetology exam)
  • Faculty exams with accommodations
  • GC student, but taking an online class with a Sheridan Instructor? Your exam can be proctored at the Testing Center

Electronic Scan Notice: PRAXIS testers will be electronically scanned prior to entering the testing lab.

PearsonVue Testers: Many testers have the same scheduled test time; therefore, check-in and test administration occur in the order of arrival. 

Testing Center Hours

Monday – Friday*
9:00 AM – 4:30 PM
*except for college closure dates

Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled testing.

Please note: All tests must be scheduled with enough time to be completed by 4:30 PM. The last test of the day will be scheduled based on its length to ensure it is finished before closing time.

Payment

Payment for test administration can be made at the Gillette College Business Office located on the first floor of the Main Building or at the Testing Center at the time of the test.
